What are Commissioner’s decisions?

FCAC opens and reviews a number of compliance cases a year involving consumer provisions — the federal laws and regulations that protect financial consumers in Canada. FCAC also reviews cases related to voluntary codes of conduct and public commitments made by federally regulated financial institutions.

What are FCAC’s principles for publishing decisions?

Previously, FCAC published condensed summaries of the Commissioner's Reasons for Decision on its Web site. As of August 2008, the Agency publishes these decisions in their original form, with minimal revisions as required.
